Medical is one of the typical application fields of additive manufacturing, which has been widely used in customized dental products, bone implants and other scenarios, and is extending to the manufacturing direction of drug delivery systems and bionic organs. On April 20, the China Additive Manufacturing Industry Alliance joined hands with the Urology and Nephrology Branch of the Chinese Society of Gerontology and Geriatrics and the Additive Manufacturing Committee of the China Staff Technology Association, jointly held a series of activities with the theme of ""Equipment Power" - "Knock on the Door" Enterprise Line and Additive Manufacturing Technology Empowering the Application of Medical Field". This event aims to build a platform for the exchange and promotion of the additive manufacturing industry and medical care, bringing together experts and scholars in the medical field and enterprise elites of additive manufacturing technology to discuss the application prospects of additive manufacturing technology in the medical field and promote technological innovation and industrial upgrading.

Li Fangzheng, Deputy Secretary-General of China Additive Manufacturing Industry Alliance and Vice President of the Additive Manufacturing Committee of China Staff Technology Association, Lin Jian, Chairman of the Urology and Nephrology Branch of the Chinese Society of Gerontology and Geriatrics and Chief Physician of the Department of Urology of Peking University First Hospital, China, and Yuan Chenggang, Chairman of the Special Committee of the Additive Manufacturing Professional Committee of China Staff Technology Association, attended the event. At the event, they emphasized the important role of additive manufacturing technology in promoting the innovation and development of the medical industry, and said that they will continue to support and promote the application research and industrialization of additive manufacturing technology in the medical field.

Subsequently, Lin Jian, Chief Physician of the Department of Urology of Peking University First Hospital and Chairman of the Urology and Nephrology Branch of the Chinese Society of Gerontology and Geriatrics, Yi Zhiqiang, Director of the Department of Neurosurgery and Chief Physician of Peking University First Hospital, Cao Yongping, Director of the Department of Orthopedics and Chief Physician of Peking University First Hospital, Shi Honghui, Chief Physician of the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology of Peking Union Medical College Hospital, Cai Zhigang, Vice President of Peking University Hospital of Stomatology and Deputy Director of the National Center of Stomatology, Li Jing, Chief Physician of the Department of Cardiology of Beijing Hospital, Zhang Lin, Medical Director and Chief Physician of the Department of Nail and Breast Surgery, Tongji Hospital, Tongji Medical College, Huazhong University of Science and Technology, Chen Jimin, Director of Beijing Digital Medical 3D Printing Engineering Technology Research Center and Professor of Beijing University of Technology, and other experts in the medical field deeply analyzed the application status and future trend of additive manufacturing technology in the medical field from their respective professional perspectives and combined with clinical experience and research results, and expounded the broad application prospects of additive manufacturing technology in the medical field.

Zhao Junliang, assistant to the chairman of Hunan Huaxiang Medical Technology Co., Ltd., introduced Huaxiang Medical's new biomaterial products and independent research and development technology on behalf of the company. It shows how additive manufacturing technology can be used to produce customized products that meet medical standards, and shares successful cases and experiences in practical applications. These presentations not only demonstrated the strength of Huaxiang Medical's additive manufacturing technology, but also provided opportunities for cooperation among the participants.

In the afternoon exchange session, hospital experts and participating companies conducted in-depth communication and discussion on the needs and scenarios of joint and spine revision and drug loading in the orthopedic field, realizing the integration of medicine and equipment, the selection of bladder materials in the surgical field to make them both tough and degradable, the selection of printing materials for parathyroid microporous scaffolds, and biological cell printing, so as to match supply and demand and seek common development.

The successful holding of this exchange and docking event not only provides a platform for in-depth exchanges between experts and scholars in the medical field and enterprise elites of additive manufacturing technology, but also injects new impetus into the application research and industrialization process of additive manufacturing technology in the medical field.
